On 6 October 2011, the children in our centre celebrated Children's Day with a fun theme, "Under the Sea". The children were dressed in their party dresses. They sang and danced together with their teachers who put on their "Blue Sea" attire. There were many exciting games specially planned for them.
We must thanks our parents for bringing a wide variety of food for the children. They are so delicious !

Family Sports Day 2011
We had a rather 'wet' start to our Family Sports Day on 2 April 2011. The event was postponed from 8am to 9am as the weather did not permit us to begin as scheduled. Nevertheless, our sporting and supportive children along with their parents, grandparents and other family members came as promised and made our Family Sports Day a truly memorable one.
We started out with some warm-up exercises and fun dancercise. Teacher Zib and Wang Lao Shi managed to wow the crowd with their moves and everyone had fun moving to the beat.

What our parents say.........
Accolades
“Daymie learns a lot in school. She often sings and dances at home. She is able to express herself well. Teacher is caring and responsible. She is willing to listen and advise me whenever I have any concern over Daymie.”
From mum of Daymie Sim (PG 2010)
From mum of Cornelius Lim (PG 2010)
“The teachers are very conscientious and caring. Good interaction with child and parents.”
From mum of Adriena Tay (PG 2010)
“Patience & tolerance from teachers towards Dylan. Special attention to pacify & soothe him, given that he’s new to the school”

From mum of Nur Wazirah (PG 2010) & Nur Laila (N2 2010)
“There is good communication channel between parents and school. The indoor play area could be better if there are mini slides. Especially during the outbreak of HFMD, children can play internally instead of outside playground.”
From mum of Shermaine Moh (PG -2010)
{From Honey Tree : Dear Mrs Moh, thanks for your positive feedback. We try to keep the indoor play area free from any cumbersome equipments, so that our children can move in a free and safe environment during the indoor play lessons.}
“To Aunty Lucy & 吕老师, thank you so much to help my gal not taking pillow & pacifier when in childcare. Noticed that she has become more talkative & responsive. In addition, Phoebe also increased her awareness in washing hands & legs. Notice that there are a lot of mosquitoes in that area and Phoebo has a number of black marks after recovered from the mosquitoes bite. Hope you can notify town council on the matter, so as to reduce the situation.”
From mum of Phoebe Ng (PG 2010)
{From Honey Tree : Dear Mrs Ng, thanks for your positive feedback. We conduct frequent inspections around our premise and have called town council and NEA on several occasions to request for checking and fogging. The situation has improved and we will continue to monitor it.}
“谢谢校长和老师们对女儿的照顾和关怀。”
From dad of Bernice Tan (PG 2010)
“Comforting to hear and see that Ahnaf is adapting to his teachers. There is still room for his improvement and I’m confident that his teachers have been equipped with the necessary skills.”
From mum of Mohd Ahnaf (N1 2010)
“Congrats on having a good & proper command and control over the children during school time. (1)To provide more Comfortable equipment during nap time (pillows, sleeping mats, comforters, etc). (2)To have a more wholesome menu filled with natural goodness and all ”
From mum ofNurhazim (N1 2010)
{From Honey Tree : Dear Sharifah, thanks for your suggestions. We do not encourage the use of pillows, comforters, soft toys etc. in our centre as these are great media for transmission of diseases like HFMD. We are careful in planning our food menus and have minimized the use of processed foods or food with high trans fat, like e.g.hotdogs; doughnuts for our children. We have obtained the “Healthy Eating Award” from HPB and will continue to provide healthy food to our young children.}
“Teacher Weng is friendly and care for the children. I like to express my concern about Dayan to her and she always willing to listen and discuss. I can see that Dayan learn a lot in school. The teachers in school are doing well. Keep it up and thanks.”
From mum of Dayan Sim (N2 2010)
“The demand and eagerness to let my child prepare for P1 is really good.”
From dad of Darius Wong (K2 2010)
“Teachers are approachable, friendly. Environment is clean. To have a fixed English teacher. Understand that there have been changing English teacher”
From mum of Puay Xin Yue (K2 2010)
{From Honey Tree : Dear Mrs Puay, Thanks for your feedback. In general, there is a shortage of English teachers in the early childhood sector. We have succeeded in maintaining low staff turn-over rate in year 2010 even though there were changes in the K class English teacher. We strive to engage teachers who are committed and enjoying working with the children. We are glad to have Teacher Wahida (also the vice Principal) who joined us since Sep 2010 and she is currently the K1/K2 English teacher. The children have becoming very attached to her and progressing well in the learning}.

Kiddy & Art Programme
Our Kiddy & Art programme commenced in January this year !
This creative art programme is lead by Ms Judy Ong, an experienced art trainer who specialises in teaching art & craft to young children.
Art has always played an important role in children's development. Art lessons help balance our children's education and build their mental skills, such as creative thinking and problem-solving. "A feeling of self-worth and the knowledge that you can do something" is a critical part of the learning process. Children gain many opportunities for self expression and boost their confidence through acquiring art & craft techniques.
Groups are kept small to enable personal interaction between the students and the trainer. Free expression and creativity give children the exposure and joy in learning art.
Please enjoy some of the masterpieces done by our young children :-
To view more art pieces done by our children, please browse them at the "Art Gallery" in this Blog.
